Workshop Description

The full moon captured over the iconic New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty is a dream for many photographers. Capturing these shots takes an intimate knowledge of both the skyline, moon position and locations to shoot.

Join international award-winning photographers and PhotoPills Master Class Teachers Jennifer Khordi and Robert Gallucci on this four-night / five-day photography tour to the best spots and capture a wide variety of these iconic photos.

Participants will learn to master planning and taking Moon and Night Photography during the workshop while capturing iconic images of the City that never sleeps.

Our workshop will not only teach you how to shoot the full moon over the skyline and Statue of Liberty in all its beauty but how to shoot it in a scenic environment that allows your composition to tell a story.

In our workshops, we will cover

  • Advanced planning to select the best nights to shoot
  • Location and scene selection to create dramatic, stunning, and unique photos
  • Camera settings to ensure your shots turn out beautifully
  • How to use Photo Pills to achieve better Moon alignment with dramatic foreground elements
  • Post-processing in Lightroom and Photoshop to achieve stellar results.

We will be shooting dramatic moonrises, moonsets, sunrises, and sunsets. Each day will bring a new adventure and fantastic photos.

We will photograph the full moon aligned with the Statue of Liberty, the lower manhattan skyline (Freedom Tower), the midtown skyline (Empire State Building), the Brooklyn Bridge, and other classic images.
